What defines Halloween more than carving pumpkins and roasting the raw seeds into an amazing snack your kids and friends will SCREAM for? I can’t think of anything else besides eating a ton of chocolate bars and that can’t be too good for you. Well, I can’t lie, I do have a few of my favorite mini bars stashed around the house.
Tonight I am having some friends over while we hand candy out to the Trick or Treaters so I decided to make my famous Roasted Pumpkin Seeds. The recipe was given to me by my mom and sorry mom, I had to do some Google double checking. This recipe is so easy and has the best flavor and just the right amount of crunch! Enjoy!
Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
- 1 teaspoon of salt ( I used Kosher salt for a larger flake so it tastes saltier)
- 1 teaspoon of garlic salt
- 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of melted butter
- 2 cups of washed and dried pumpkin seeds
In a large mixing bowl, mix the butter, salts and Worcestershire sauce together. Toss in the pumpkin seeds and coat evenly. Lay out evenly on the cookie sheet and bake for an hour tossing once or twice.
